I'll be going to Azerbaijan this week, but nothing really comes to mind in terms of what to do there/what to bring back.

Gobustan reserve seems like a really cool place to check. Full of prehistoric carvings and it has almost half of the world's mud volcanoes. It's located pretty close to Baku.
