It's Twitter. Half of it are probably chatgpt bots another 40% are that equivalent of a village idiot getting a megaphone. Can't wait for the platform to die...
Yet here we are on lemmy, and I'm starting to see the same shit. Just above this post is an aggro post. Fortunately for that post I'm in an instance where i can't downvote. So i only blocked the poster.
You'd be surprised at how often people arbitrarily assign gender to the most random things.
