But did you know the original version of the cartoon was actually about NATO? It was drawn in 1988 by Hughes-Wilson, thank you @catarina@kbin.social for the info: https://www.lambiek.net/artists/h/hughes-wilson_jn.htm

Discreet.. as a Dane.

PS: Note that some stereotypes are 'recycled' from the original NATO version where they were attributed to other nationalities.

I was confused until I got to Englishman. I had to survive on fish and chips when I went to the UK, couldn't stand anything else.

I'm guessing it's because Denmark was the first country to legalize pornography, I think the person in the image is trying to sell pornographic magazines.

At least that was the only way I could get it to make sense.
