CurseForge and Bukkit get hit with malware for Minecraft mods
(www.gamingonlinux.com)
I've been using Linux on my main PC since 2017, and in those six years I've never felt this scared about a piece of malware. They went out of their way to attack Linux PCs as well, and even prioritized it over MacOS. It's like if someone broke into your home but didn't steal anything. It's that same kinda feeling of loss of security. Every time I've installed a mod since news about Fracturizer broke, I've been checking the folders it affects and I run the scanner before starting the game. I hope this isn't indicative of a trend.
