Its smug aura mocks me.

I can see they fully embrace the silly.

But it just doesn't land. Like at all.

You didn't think it would be possible. I still don't. And every time I see anything from the show, I am even more put off.

How is it actually watching this?

The intensity of cringe the trailers of this live action adaptation makes me feel, is difficult to describe.

It's orders of magnitude more visceral and uncomfortable than watching an adult naruto running.

The story, and especially the charachters, just do not work for me in this medium. I actively try to forget this is a real thing Netflix is making.

It needs to be running, if it is, it will follow the policy. Systemd can start it with the system, but you can also start it some other way. Or you can execute snapshots without it constantly running, via cron/script. It's up to you.

How do you actually grab something off the shelves, if both lifts are keeping the other up?

Abrubt power off shouldn't damage the drives, but it can absolutely corrupt files that are being written, and even entirely delete things in the write cache.
