Ushered into a room along with other journalists, Hemingway found the Premier so deeply absorbed in a book that he did not bother to look up. Curious, Hemingway “tiptoed over behind him to see what the book was he was reading with such avid interest. It was a French‐English dictionary—held upside down.”

In light of Makan CPUSA finally getting banned, I've come to realize that his posts would on average gain the most traction out of anyone here.

Particularly the ones about videogames.

Are we all just secretly gamers? Terrifying prospect.

Official ban reasoning says it was because of comments he made in the matrix server. His recent post appeared to spark a discussion about the CPUSA which didn't go down very well, I assume it had something to do with that.

His baseless assertions remind me of when he declared ResearchGate ‘alt‐right’, and when I asked for evidence all that he told me was ‘I was there a few times and saw their bad takes.’

Why the fuck would an alt‐right website of all things host a black researcher’s report on Fascist Italy’s mustard gas attacks on Ethiopians? That’s utterly mindless. It pissed me off because I wanted to tell people about a serious subject and the first comment that I got was an ‘I don’t like this source’ comment (and a poorly substantiated one at that). I thought, ‘Fuck, I guess that I can’t link to this one anymore.’

That said, I think that a permanent ban was too long for him.

Judging by the modlog, the ban switched from temporary to permanent after he said some stuff in the lemmygrad matrix room. I have no idea what it was he said, though.

He was throwing a fit and saying he would get hexbear to not federate with us “because he’s on the mod team”

  1. why would we even care that much? Like it will be nice to have more people to engage with our comms but we do just fine without hexbear federated
  2. he’s not an admin over there like he was implying, he’s only been on hexbear for a month and they let him mod a couple of comms, he has 0 sway on their admin team

It’s a shame, I think he was a decent poster

Bruh i thought i was a terminally online internet consumer demon and that i knew about every dystopian thing happening until i started reading this book 'Survival of the richest' by douglas rushkoff, this guy has me beat, he mentions some businesses that make things for billionaires that i thought he was joking (for how absurd they sound) 😂 but actually exist. Look up "seasteading"

Cringeposting but damn im sick off all these trends about ryan gosling, Drive was my favorite movie since its release goddammit and now it has been hijacked by the sigma tate boys. Now i cant put the movie soundtrack while driving at night because i will look like those dumbasses 😔 i loved that soundtrack before it was cool.
