It's not the same thing the meme is about, the bent pyramid is way older, I think it actually predates those of Gizeh. it was made by building upon on a step-pyramid. All of these were around 3000-2500 BC

The Kushite pyramids started being made in Sudan around 8th century BC after the kingdom of Napata had conquered Egypt (founding the 25th dynasty) and got to witness the Egyptian pyramids.

So the meme isn't really about building atop a pre-existing pyramid, more about seing something and building something inspired by it but a bit different elsewhere.

the bent pyramid was an evolution from step pyramids, but the reason it was bent was because the angle was originally too steep and the weight caused cracking. they had to increase the angle part way up
