What timing.

The CEO of Tumblr/WordPress, AutoMattic's Matt Mullenweg, recently lost his mind online, acting stupid at a Tumblr user, then following that Tumblr user onto a different platform to continue acting stupid.

This just goes to show that techbro CEOs cannot be trusted with your data. And just because one of them isn't yet hated like Elon Musk doesn't mean they won't be activated like a sleeper agent because of a mildly naughty Tumblr username.

If it's publicly accessible, it's going to be exploited for LLMs 🤷🏻‍♀️

"Oh, we'd better become a bunch of walled gardens with phat EULA's and IP lawyers".

Or, or, and hear me out on this: make better models and datasets with the public data, open source that shit and call people idiots for using SaaS AI.

I setup a Wordpress blog a while back because I could get easy CE credits for writing about cybersecurity. I used AI to write the articles. The snake eats it’s own tail. :)

If it’s free, you’re the product. None of these new revelations is the least bit surprising. It’s a data mining gold rush right now.
