They're going to have to start referring to them as something other than "pot plants" because I was picturing a bunch of immigrants hiding in an aspidistra

Capitalist legalisation is still capitalist, exploitation for profit is what the whole thing is about, don't expect it to be different because the end person who sells to you is a friendly hippy, unless they or their friends grew it, there's a decent chance it was grown by, at the very best, underpaid immigrants. Just like the rest of the produce we consume.
