Ahh yes, that is another risk factor of him. He never tests it. I guess he always goes for guts instincts. ( As there is no CI tests or any type hints ).

And again we speak of FORMATTING pr's those risky formatting pr's i guess he tested that? and somehow found that it didnt worked?

Just to be clear, i fixed a lot of bugs already too. E.g. Mastodon login never even worked ONCE, i implemented that to the end.
With his merge first fix later attitude, for little bit more established servers its killing argument: Oh yeah feature X broke because no one tested it before.

My PRs were in good faith. I was ok with constructive feedback ( e.g. change this, change that ) but dismissing ones PR MULTIPLE times. With almost none real reason other than "Opiniated Formatting" ( where none exists )

I mean i gave him the changes to his feet and he kicked them away. I know it were small changes but if i have to argue around for 4-5 session to implement basic formatting ( a one and done thing ). I would blick him too.

[–] Rooki@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

I hope that too for Piefed. But if he continues his disregard of developer. He should have kept it close source.

I had sadly the opposite experience as a developer. He bends the rules, the code of conduct to his will so that he stays in the "right".

He disregards any improvements to the codes style ( formatting, styling, linting ) and when you point that out you just get the lemmy devs treatment. I mentioned, the code is a mess. He went on rampage declining any attempts to "untangle" or format the code. And he simply said "Go away and dont come back".

One example: https://codeberg.org/rimu/pyfedi/commit/b341c2d4adf40147c34b100fbace886862d8ddc8

80€ is crazy nintendont games are just crazy priced and have fun getting one second hand games if nintendo allows it. 80€ for a AA game is much and a scam for a re released game because of a new poatform even tho old switch games should work.

[–] Rooki@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Still 80€ is too much dont freaking accept this bs pricing

[–] Rooki@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (4 children)

I mean especially as a parent do i want to waste 80€ for a game? And i mean switch (1) is that what you describe the switch 2 is a cashgrab you cant tell me differently.

[–] Rooki@lemmy.world 0 points 1 month ago

Dont even get me started on them, switch 2 is a cashgrab no discussion. The only new thing is a mouse....

[–] Rooki@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

I did that with the steamdeck dock its pretty awesome that it can run a higher resolution secondary screen with full hd and game on the side.

It will soon just wait.

If Nintendo allows you to play their games get not a switch ditch their platform with their 10 games.

I mean its so closed off it should be.

If i am honest i dont have any games that DONT run on. It can run cyberpunk, baldurs gate, a lot other AAA / Indie games.

If it doesnt run, the devs did something SPECIAL to f*ck steamdeck / linux users.

The suspend game feature is probably the biggest player, especially when its idle it doesnt use any power ( except of course the common battery drain ) in comparison to windows "sleep" it just blacks out the screen and maybe run a little less background tasks.

Hello world!

as the title says the server is BACK! It is hosted under a new server! The same map and your inventory is the same!

Domain is the same: minecraft.lemmy.world

Bedrock: minecraft.lemmy.world:1027

Please note: The new server is hosted in the USA so if you are joining from the EU please expect higher than before ping! This can not be avoided as the generous hoster doesnt have a server in the EU.

The generous hoster is @JonsJava@lemmy.world, thanks to him all this is possible.

The home limits are increased and there will be for everyone who wants it a new spawn where you can build from.

Thanks everyone
Rooki

Hello World, As many of you have probably noticed, there is a growing problem on the internet when it comes to undisclosed bias in both amateur and professional reporting. While not every outlet can be like the C-SPAN, or Reuters, we also believe that it's impossible to remove the human element from the news, especially when it concerns, well, humans.

To this end, we've created a media bias bot, which we hope will keep everyone informed about WHO, not just the WHAT of posted articles. This bot uses Media Bias/Fact Check to add a simple reply to show bias. We feel this is especially important with the US Election coming up. The bot will also provide links to Ground.News, as well, which we feel is a great source to determine the WHOLE coverage of a given article and/or topic.

As always feedback is welcome, as this is a active project which we really hope will benefit the community.

Thanks!
