I love Annie Lennox and the version she did of this song ... an even better rendition is by Nina Simone ... but its a song that's been remade a hundred times since it first came out in 1956.
The hilarious part is how its become a tragic sultry love song ... when the original was created as some crazy over the top song
The original is a creepy wild creation by Screamin Jay Hawkins in 1956
If any version of the song is great ... it's the original with Hawkins ... he's definitely put a spell on me and everyone who ever watched his performance
