I checked that Lemmy Explorer site and searched for "patientgamers" and this community don't show up.

Just the ones on lemmy.world and sh.itjustworks

I was just wondering how you all found this place. Are you all on lemmy.ml?

Does this community show up on any lemmy indexer?

I so patient that i'll wait for this one to pick up.

I've been on ml from the start.

I'm on neither of those instances, but all four show up when I search for "patientgamers".

If memory serves, I stumbled across this community from one of my server's community highlighting bot's posts ( !trendingcommunities@feddit.nl ), it's a nice way to discover active communities I wouldn't have searched for otherwise.

I searched, like you did. Pretty sure I subbed all three.

Just found this one from all top 6hours

I wasn't aware that there were patientgamer communities.

This is the only one I'm going to sub to.

-> Search instead of manually going through full community list, to see which ones you like <- cute 🥹

I'm pretty sure it shows up in Kbin 's search, which is how I found it.

Ah OK. Every time someone asks how to find other communities, I see that Lemmy Explorer site linked, which is why I searched there and was confused why this community wasn't on there.

Nice to know it's showing up in other indexers though.

It's possible to manually find communities on a given instance instead of using an indexer. I'm guessing that's how most people found it.

Patient Gamers

A gaming sub free from the hype and oversaturation of current releases, catering to gamers who wait at least 12 months after release to play a game. Whether it's price, waiting for bugs/issues to be patched, DLC to be released, don't meet the system requirements, or just haven't had the time to keep up with the latest releases.
