Dariusz Zawadzki was born in Szczecin in 1958. Since childhood he has been regarded as a person of extraordinary sensitivity to the surrounding world. His works are widely admired for their ability to deeply move viewers with the feelings and emotions they contain, as well as great attention to painterly detail. His artistic style is unique. Dariusz Zawadzki is quickly becoming one of the most popular fantasy painters in the world. His surrealist paintings often sell out before they are finished by the artist.

He paints in oil technique, usually on fiberboard. His paintings have wonderful classical texture and depth, and stand out for their unusual metaphor and color palette. Zawadzki is also an accomplished sculptor.

H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos is a shared universe far larger and more terrifying than that of humanity, where ancient, malevolent beings known as the Great Old Ones slumber in the depths of space or time. After Lovecraft's death, the Mythos has been expanded and developed by many authors, including August Derleth, Clark Ashton Smith, and Robert E. Howard. These and many other authors have helped to flesh out the Mythos into a rich and complex Dark Universe.
