Interesting. When I cross-posted a post with content warning (because not halal) from Mastodon to Lemmy, it appears as NSFW here.

Hmm makes sense, lemmy only have nsfw tag, it would be nice to have spoiler tag as well 🤔

On Mastodon you can add whatever text you want to be displayed as the content warning, which is very nice. So I can just type, for example, “spoiler for Oppenheimer” or “if you click on this you’ll be cursed”.

Ahh, that's very handy, doubt we will get that feature here though haha

Still glad that Mastodon can crosspost into here

That claypot is what? Why does it looks so delicious 🤤

The one on the left is 火爆肉, which I suspect inspired the “dry bak kut teh” you see elsewhere in Malaysia haha. It’s basically pork belly sautéed in dried chilies, dried shrimps and other spicy stuff until it’s sizzling. In Kajang we usually pair this with spicy pepper soup. Goes really well with rice!

Wow, now i wanna try, where is this?

[-] rakyat@monyet.cc 1 points 1 year ago

It’s in Kajang! There are a few well-known shops but this one is Siaw Kah, in Sungai Chua. (My usually go-to shop used to be Hong Kong Lat Thong but they raised their prices so much recently that I couldn’t recommend it anymore)

put it in my google map

Done! Ohh man that hot plate bean curd 🤤

If you got extra time for some extra meals, there’s also a well-known fried chicken nasi lemak shop nearby (hidden inside the new village)! And might as well come over to Kajang town for the mamak cendol stall inside the Chinese temple and satay :D

Too bad i usually won't visit it more than one day 😔

I miss kajang satay though!

I still haven't got the hang of which one goes to the post title. The first line only right?

[-] rakyat@monyet.cc 2 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Yeah, the first line only (& add a line break after, not sure if the line break is needed tho). As you can see in this example, the hashtag kinda becomes an URL so next time I’ll just avoid including the hashtag in the first line.
