Considering I went through the trouble of setting up my own instance but kept my usual name, I'm feeling just a little called out here...

just used this random generated username from my password manager 😉

I tend to drop the numbers when the base name is available, but I know a lot of friends go for consistency across platforms and the number helps ensure it’ll be available on any new platform they come to
Have you considered that the number might be part of the username?
Oh definitely, and sometimes there is a reason behind it! So I made this post asking why!
One of my username contains a 9 because I was 9 when I created that username lol. Rarely use it anymore though since it contains references to my real name
