The astronauts aren't stranded, the teams just want to study the thrusters on-orbit, since they can't study them afterwards. Humour at Boeing's expense is quite popular at the moment though.

If Boeing didn't want to get laughed at, maybe they shouldn't have such an open door policy for their planes.

When one door closes another one opens but other than that the 737 MAX is a perfectly adequate airplane

Except for that design glitch where they crash into the ground on autopilot. But I hear that's fixed because now the optional orange light that tells you when the autopilot is feeling crashy is now included for free!

Dude, the Max has so much power! Just look at that climb rate!...oh hold on, the screen was upside down.

That looks like the island of Crete, in the left side...

Wow, good eye. I believe you're correct. I guess the desert in the upper right is Libya and Egypt.

Also, happy cake day!

A few weeks ago, someone was trying to convince me that Boeing’s space division isn’t experiencing the same issues as the commercial plane division because they’re managed differently. Lolz…

Because they're not. Plus this is an official NASA mission and Boeing has had to meet NASA specs the whole time. Test flights are just that too. The whole point of this exercise is to find any and all possible issues before giving the craft it's final approval for standard missions.

At least they didn't outsource the manufacturing to Spirit.

[-] Jumuta@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 week ago

oh yeah they're buying back spirit apparently

hopefully that improves things?

Semi-Permanent Autonomy Zone.

They should double-check that the doors are bolted on correctly, just to be safe

[-] swayevenly@lemm.ee 3 points 1 week ago

Double-check assumes they checked it all.

[-] match@pawb.social 0 points 1 week ago

They should double-check that they were checked in the first place
