I'd stay away from windows if I were involved in making that documentary. Not the OS

Oh yes! I didn't say otherwise. But they still require permits, taxes and distribution fees

I don't know many places where you can just install them and run your house off them without it being hooked to the main lines

To many it seems that he is set to destroy NATO not by leaving it but by showing that he won't get involved in the agreements made

There is not difference whatsoever. Solar plants are owned by corporations, and regulated but the government. You need a ton of permits to install your own and still you have to pay taxes, grid fees, or administrative charges

The sun is owned

It might be the other way around too though... You might be thinking of buying something, because Facebook or google have convinced you that you need it

That said, I had to create an account in FB due to work and studies. I did some research and decided to run it only on a browser and use a seperate browser only for FB. Along with some strict privacy rules.

My account was flagged within 30 seconds of creation. They asked for a selfie ID that they got and they did a manual assessment but banned the account nonetheless for not following community guidelines

You can't even read their community guidelines without accepting their cookie policy

The US needs to start paying what the rest of the world does for gas.. $4 pr gallon is less that half of what Europeans pay these days...

Why does the police seem so violent when the arrested person is obviously compliant? This is the most confusing part of videos showing US police to me..

Edit: also obviously this is a movie filming as there are two cameramen standing very close to the incident, before the police showed up

Sorry for one more of these, but I find it fascinating to see

Membership is for broadcasting organizations whose countries are within the European Broadcasting Area, as defined by the International Telecommunication Union, or are members of the Council of Europe.

The double standards though, are stated further down the same page:

The EBU’s Belarusian Member was suspended from the Union in May 2021. The EBU’s Russian Members were suspended from the Union in May 2022.

Er det ikke fra La Glass? (crazypeople.online)

Jeg faldt over denne i en anden community men synes at kunne genkende papiret den ligger på. Er det ikke korrekt at det er La Glass logoet?

It's hard to keep track of all the updates, this live blog does a good job.

I am looking for advice, on a thought I had. I wanted to combine a fairly simple phone (preferably non gogole) with a tablet for my daily use. I am ok with the tablet running Android, as I more or less am required to have it (or apple), for safe log in, in my country

The idea is, to not spend all the time death scrolling on the phone, and only bring up the tablet up when I need to use features that are not available on the phone. What I still was hopping for, was a phone with basic functions, like calling, SMS, mail and calendar. Also it should have a good camera, and some sort of privacy orientated navigation app. It should also have hotspot, so that I can connect the tablet to the internet through it. I wouldn't mind an e-ink display, but I am not sure how that works with a camera or if they even do come with quality cameras.

Do you think that you get more value for the money with a tablet, than a phone? Should I spend the equivalent to a flagship phone on a tablet, or would i be getting more value, by simply buying a phone, and dropping my plan on having a semi-dumb phone?

I was messing with some timelapse and this is my fish waiting for me to feed them and then having a feast

I woke up today, to a public comment in a Lemmy community asking a series of tagged accounts why they had downvoted certain posts

I thought that reactions to posts and comments are anonymous and now I don't really know what to feel about Lemmy any more.

In this case I had downvoted a poster because of its design, but was confronted publicly for being racist because the person assumed that I downvoted the message on the poster

EDIT: changed the title from "How" to "Why" because it broke rule nr 5 about it being a support question
