Subject line pretty much covers it. Say I get a hateful comment reply from user xyz, so I block them. I go back to my profile, even after refreshing, to look at my other replies, and xyz is still visible there.

I should be able to be done with hateful people/comments.

Blocks don't seem right here.

It should block both them from seeing me as much as me from seeing them.

With a federated model, I'm not sure if there's an easy way to accomplish this. If your comment gets federated to another server, it's difficult to prevent a specific person user from seeing it. I think some sort of "centralized blocklist" would need to be shared and maintained between servers.

Is this an issue with Connect, or with Lemmy? If the latter, it might be more useful to post in !lemmy_support@lemmy.ml

Lemmy mods aren't ubiquitous. Reporting doesn't get results immediately.
