They've always had them, the bridge crew just happens to be that kind of person that'll plug a fake seat belt clip into the holder to stop the beeping sound.

I bet they fly the Enterprise with brights on all the time as well.

Have you ever seen them use their turn signal? Starfleet pilots are the BMW drivers of space.

Every now and then the warp nacelles seem to flicker, I think that's supposed to be their turn signal. But like BMW drivers, they only activate when they break down (again)

They’re using Boston rules, if they use turn signals a Klingon will just pull up beside and block their way out of spite.

Nah, Klingons have honor. Whoever it is, they are the "perfectly clean $80,000 pickup that has carried less in it's life then my Mom's little sedan after a single Costco trip" drivers of space.

One of the few things they did right in Kelvin timeline imo. Just makes sense if you lose inercial dampeners, which is like all the time, that you'd want to be strapped in going like 300c or during a Blue Alert.

It's sort of like before they made the seat belt laws. Ships had them but a lot of people were like, eh, I've been fine without them this long.

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Hating someone off of their race, culture, creed, sexuality, or identity is not remotely acceptable. Mistakes can happen but do your best to respect others.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon' and fuck over our artist friends.

Fun will now commence.
