The Onion is pulling no punches lately.

Their pitch room must be running 24/7 with all the material lately.

Isn't that the r strategy in general?

"You not only have to keep them fed with just enough food that they’re strong enough to work, but also constantly have to come up with new ways to instill fear in them. It’s a lot, and we don’t want any of these kids to rush into human trafficking without understanding what it entails.”

Yep. It's the strategy to ensure people remain desperate and too afraid to do anything.

How long until Florida reintroduces "apprenticeship programs" to deal with the shortage of agriculture workers their immigration policy has created.

Somehow, this feels like less of a joke than the real events it's based on.

Onion used to do satire. Now it's just a prediction machine.

This hurt my soul a little bit.

Listen, I love The Onion but don’t give ‘em ideas, man…

I'm ever so slightly disappointed that they didn't work in the recent statement about teaching the slaves "skills" to benefit them.
