Don,t know if this is the appropriate community to ask this question, so sorry if it is not. Here it goes. I opened my account yesterday and tried to suscribe to several communities, inside lemmy.world as well as in other instances.

The ones within lemmy.world gave me no problem, subscribed instantly, buy the others are "pending", and I suppose that someone has to approve my subscription. Is there any other reason? None of the communities are in kbin or beehaw (I am aware of the defederation). Maybe it is because I am new to Lemmy and haven't posted yet except for one comment yesterday?
