Those in Sydney and eastern NSW have been advised to take precaution as this week's heatwave is tipped to continue.

According to forecasts, a maximum temperature of 33 degrees Celsius is predicted for Sydney's coast, while up to 39C is on the cards for pockets of Greater Western Sydney.
