There's a million ways for Marvel to do whatever they want to do.
While I like the idea of connecting his wings to norse mythology, I don’t think we need that Captain back. He’s saved the world various times. We can let him rest (And I’m sure he had other adventures in the other timeline he lived in). There are plenty of other versions that can come along.
I also don't think you need to connect the American eagle to Norse paganism in 2025.
Unless you're wanting to do Hydra Cap.
Ant Man got aged and de-aged when Rocket was calibrating the time machine before the time heist, so I figure they can just stick Old Steve in there for a minute to make him young again.
Rocket
Smart Hulk?
But also, does that mean they accidentally discovered the Fountain of Youth?
Re Cap, I think if old Steve Rogers returned (from the moon) I don't think he would appear as a young(er) Steve Rogers. Similar to how Fat Thor was worthy and didn't change shape, Old Steve would be worthy and not change shape. I agree it has the power to do so, but I don't think it would happen.
Re Jane, I don't think it's matter of being worthy. The specific rule applies over the more general rule. The protection of Jane is also an ambiguous one. Hypothetically if Jane were under attack by aliens Mjolnir might have just flew in and defeated the aliens, not transforming Jane.
In terms of Jane actually being worthy, we don't see her a lot in the films. I think the sacrifice she makes at the end of Love and Thunder proves that she is capable of being worthy. However similar to Cap not being able to lift it fully in Age of Ultron I suspect Jane would also be unable to lift it. Of course Mjolnir and Jane (and Thor) spent a lot of time together, so she may be able.
