From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

i love this person's work and how they always managed to find something that i've missed in the last 20+ years of working in the linux sphere. i've been using awk to skin this cat and holy fuck is it SO MUCH easier to use it for json than it is try to do to the same thing with awk/sed.

i wish i was as rich as my fellow software engineers so that i could support their work. i believe it's desperately needed because today's younger generations no longer have the same opportunities i had to learn technology since our culture no longer pushes people to have to contend with things breaking because their smartphones "just work" in their respective walled gardens.
