MODERATORS

Just looking to seed the place a little a bit with some side bar discussion, maybe get into more feeds to spread the word.

When I joined fedi, privacy on ml seemed like decently robust community but I would posit that endless modding of anti China and Russia sentiment really chocked the air out of it.

Similar thing is happening on .world too

PS: This should probably be marked [META]

I talked to the moderators of this community and i am now the mod, i will be trying to make this popular again. (i will do a proper reopening of this comm today in a couple of hours)

.ml is insane, they will fling "rule 1" for any reason (KIM dbzer0 is federated with hexbear/lemmygrad, but i will keep tabs on them)

and .world is just too big. Dbzer0 is a sweet spot, and is perfect for this community.

Looking forward to discussions with people who aren't frothing at the mouth 👍

Hey, I did! The moderator also made it a point to remove my comments based not on their content, but on their score (anything below zero was allowed to remain).

That's a sneaky tactic, ive never seen it. Was ban permanent?

[–] LWD@lemm.ee 3 points 4 months ago

Long enough to make me permanently rethink my participation there.

Not happened yet, but I made a comment on an .ml /c just a little while ago that I fully expect to get me at least a /c ban if not a full instance ban 🤣

Banned for Rule 4 last week. Haven't used their community in 9 months so my guess is one of the mods parents forgot to microwave their chicken tendies that day and thus decided to take their frustration out on me.
