I’d love to see a floating action button like Thunder has with configurable shortcuts. I love this feature for quick navigation, dismiss all read (not fully hide since a refresh can bring those posts back), etc.

I’m not sure if this is technically feasible, but I’d like to be able to mark an entire community as being read. Sometimes I subscribe to a new community and I’m just interested in the newer posts. Or some communities, like some that present the news, have so much timely content that they can overwhelm my feed. I’d like to mark the whole community as read in order to keep my feed cleaner and more relevant.
I would very much like to be able to use emojis from various servers. E.g. blahaj has some trans emojis that'd I'd like to be able to use even on Lemmy.ml
Also remembering the selection for "sharing as image" to hide username/community would be nice
Sometimes I can't scroll voyager when using iPhone mirroring with iOS 18/macOS 15. I haven't been able to pin down what causes it to occur though unfortunately.
Apologies. I know I posted a previous comment but wanted to add another request.
Would it be possible to add an option that hides the top and bottom bars while scrolling?
Apart from that, great app.
I spent some time investigating this before. It is possible, but unfortunately not trivial to add. Definitely something I'd like to add though
I’m coming back to add another request idea:
Ability to search Saved posts.
I save a lot of useful things on Lemmy but it’s difficult to find again later. You can’t search Saved Posts in this app nor on the website and you can’t set up an RSS feed like on Reddit to get the articles/posts out to somewhere else.
Even if you know the precise title of the post, general search on Lemmy almost never brings it up in the results.
I think Voyager could certainly help compensate for this shortcoming in Lemmy.
I mostly use it on an iPad mini in landscape mode, when lying down and casually reading. Two things:
-
When scrolling on the main feed, if your left or right finger accidentally touches the screen, instead of scrolling, you're inside the post, which isn't what you intended. So you have to be extra careful keeping your fingers away. Be nice if there was a 1 or 2" zone on each side which only does scroll instead of tap. Not sure I'm explaining it right.
-
Again, on an iPad mini, the Post box only shows a couple of lines for editing. Most of the screen is taken by application chrome.
Other than that, love the app. Use it daily.
