Premieres April 5, 2025 and runs for 24 episodes. The new PV is here. Check out the AC article for additional information. More about the series from the AC article:

Canadian author Lucy Maud Montgomery wrote the original novel, which follows Anne Shirley as she mistakenly gets sent to live with siblings Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert in the fictional village of Avonlea on Prince Edward Island.

Since its publication in 1908, Anne of Green Gables has become one of the best-selling books worldwide with over 50 million sold copies. It has been translated into at least 36 languages. Besides the new anime, the story has inspired numerous other adaptations, including movies, TV series, as well as radio and stage productions.

I guess we can expect a new Anne of Green Gables anime every 25-30 years.

Violet Evergarden being the first (serious) anime I watched spoiled me... the visual belies a lack of effort, seemingly. Or maybe because a lot of generic isekais have a similar artstyle.

I vaguely remember reading these as a little kid, was not expecting to get reminded of it by an anime adaptation.

Well, this is not the first time that the story has been adapted to anime. The first time was all the way back in 1979. On that listing, there are at least two other adaptations listed under relations.

Miyazaki worked on the 1979 show.
