well, it's a website for an app-based service, but I still think it deserves recognition.

TooGoodToGo helps fight food waste by letting you pick up packages of discounted food nearing its expiration date from local businesses: https://toogoodtogo.com/

Wow, this is excellent! I was sort of wondering whether the leftover bread and pastries from the shop nearby got donated or something, but apparently they and the little supermarket next to them are both listed in the app and sell their leftovers at 6.30 each morning to anyone who wants them. This could end up being dangerous (loads of pastries for less than two euro for the lot)!

It's a shame that it only seems to have taken hold in certain areas in Germany. I.e. not in either of mine.

I vote on this one, in Portugal it’s a really good one to use.

Not a product, and not necessarily less known, but definitely a VERY cool website from late Swedish Doctor Hans Rosling (author of Factfulness): https://www.gapminder.org/

The website does such a good job visualizing data.

I highly recommend this website. As a fan of Hans Rosling, I have found Gapminder to be an excellent resource when I needed facts about the world.

Same. After reading his book looong time ago (still need to read his second one, I thinks it's more of a biography) I still go to this site occasionally for facts!

Apparently distrowatch.com is hosted in Copenhagen. TIL.

Edit: Oh it said "less known"... Well, I bet none of you knew it was hosted in Copenhagen!!!
