so true :) I was explaining my missus about the blackout and she thought that meant I will have more time(Reddit is top of my screen time) that I can use to do other things, little did she know that I’m going to be wasting it on Lemmy lol.

in fact, my excitement about lemmy has left me with even less time, the irony

Getting of crack by switching to cocaine

Haha "Rexxit" is amazing!

[-] Djokkum@rammy.site 11 points 1 year ago

Part of me is sad that this is needed, but it's also exciting to try something new

[-] sparky@lemmy.pt 1 points 1 year ago

Me too.. after 12+ years of being a Redditor, sad to see they ran it into the ground. Alas, onward and upwards..

[-] thedeserter@lemmy.fmhy.ml 10 points 1 year ago

Rexxit!!! Dig the name. It’s the era of lemmingration!

Kinda getting ahead of myself here but if this place comes under attack (whether that's in the form of a bot invasion, denial of service, etc.), we could call it the siege of Lemmingrad.

[-] z3k3lon@lemmy.pt 1 points 1 year ago

It's all fun and games until the bot army arrives. They shall not pass!

[-] thedeserter@lemmy.fmhy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

Omg! I wish to participate on the front lines of this epic battle! I will be there!

[-] Neil@lemmy.ml 9 points 1 year ago

Glad to see Lemmy finally taking off. I'm honestly scared the Reddit admins will buckle. This is where everyone should be. We can make this place as great as Reddit and it will be even better due to the decentralized nature of the network.

This is actually a genius idea on how to continue the protests after the 14th. Even if the blackout won't last longer content creators should post content increasingly elswhere or additionally to reddit somewhere else and increase the viability of a replacement.

[-] notsorryforpartying@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

Funny enough, you're one of the content creators by commenting! The comments and discussions were my favorite part of reddit and we're bringing the comments with us over here to Lemmy!

[-] sparky@lemmy.pt 1 points 1 year ago

Can we set up some Reddit bots that just comment on every post with a link to a Lemmy thread? Haha

[-] LemmyAtem@beehaw.org 7 points 1 year ago

LMAO reddit is a GREAT name for it.

Autocorrect is in the pockets of big reddit

I proped up a number of smaller subs from my RSS feeds. Happy to be here. :) I felt a stir in the wind a few months ago and found this place and started to set up shop. I deleted ten years of content during the AMA. I thought I'd be more sad but I felt great.

Lemmy is one of the few platforms I actually want to be active on

[-] taj@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 year ago

It's taken me a bit to get used to and get it setup, but I'm liking it more and more, the longer I'm on it :)

This is a desperately needed event. I was talking to my friends about how the internet has become so horribly concentrated to just a few mega-tech corporations. It has stifled innovation and creative freedom. The web has been strangled by the limitations of corporate greed.

Rexxit is awesome!

[-] clawer87@reddthat.com 1 points 1 year ago

Does Lemmy have awards? Because this might have been my first one.

[-] taj@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

Lolol it should!

Honestly, Lemmy has seemed really nice so far.

Also Rexxit💀
