I listened to a review about the book by Pod Save America guy Jon Favreau and apparently the book is a barn burner and chock full of incredibly damning info about Zuckerberg and co., and a great read.

Couldn’t she counter sue as Meta are saying it’s all lies? “Meta claimed the decision as a victory. “This ruling affirms that Sarah Wynn Williams’ false and defamatory book should never have been published,” Meta spokesperson Andy Stone said in a statement.

@puntinoblue@lemmy.ml I imagine that's something for her publisher to do on their and her behalf. I'm not an attorney, tho.

If it gets shot down in court, she should release it with a go fund me attached. She might actually make more than the book deal.

@Gerudo@lemm.ee Doubt her publishers would allow that — they would own the rights.

Her publisher isn't bound by this decision, only she is.

Streisand effect time. I would never known about the book if not for this bit of news, but now I see that my library has it in their catalog though it's not yet available. Hold placed.
