Cuba is a weird case. The revolutionary leaders were of white colonial Spaniard descent. The revolutionary mass was a mix of enslaved Africans and white Europeans. The indigenous of the island were thought to have been wiped out but by the 1970s they sort of came out of hiding and showed themselves as a community still existing. So like, what is Cuban nationalism really?
