YES! Thank you for your positivity! And thank you BuyfromEU on Reddit (where I started) and the Lemmy community! I agree, the focus for me is the same, EU product or atleast an non US alternative. And im not jumping over all at once, im testing services and slowly replacing them when I meet one that fits my needs.
But for me the challenge lies in buying products, like groceries or some technical items. Its not always clear if its tied to the us or not, and it takes some time to figure that out.
As Canadians, we're happy to help out where we can, and glad we have an alternative source from the US too. Trump has changed everything. We can't control what he's done. But where one door closes another opens, and every problem is an opportunity in disguise. It's up to us to make sure this change is change for the better, for all of us, and hopefully for the world too if we can.
Thanks for taking the time to spread positivity! :)
I really like the atmosphere here as well - it's cool to see Europeans united around something concrete other than Eurovision.
Indeed I also feel this will to avoid the US, and not only because of Trump and his government but also because I don't see them as a example anymore.
Thank you for being here!
