Computing to support life on Earth

Computing in the age of climate crisis is often wasteful and adds nothing useful to our real life communities. Here we try to find out how to change that.

I discovered too late that I had already updated to the latest firmware which hasn't been cracked yet, but it turns out I didn't have to jailbreak it at all. I just deleted my Amazon account completely, factory reset the Kindle device, never logged in with an account, and now I just keep it in airplane mode and sideload EPUB files from Calibre onto it. Works great.

This is a good idea. After I finish my current book I’m doing that

I've been doing this with my Kindle, and it works well too. I saw this video earlier and I think I'll still do it because (1) I hate the popup every time I go to the library that asks me to connect to WiFi/login to account, and (2) Koreader features seem really nice. Still though, not enough of a big deal to make me do it today :P
