I don't know if this is appropos to this sub. The thing is, I find it disturbing that Elon Musk has a 9 foot tall statue of himself in Texas. At least the statue creates a good site for future protests.

At first I was surprised it was a bust and not a full body statue. Then I was surprised it was vandalized by peeling the outer layers off. It wasn’t made of concrete or something? Wouldn’t the weather have done this anyway?

Its most likely fiberglass with a faux bronze finish. The budget option when you can't afford real bronze. Its the cheap dictator special.
