  • The regime is kidnapping people who are nor even accused of a crime, and shipping them to foreign torture camps. He promised several times to expand this undertaking.

  • The major law firms and universities, with few exceptions, are giving in yo his demands.

  • He shows he ignors judges and their rulings.

  • He has pressured social medial to give in to him.By and large, the all acquiesced.

  • The Dem party, with very few exceptions, is feckless and weak against him.

On and on....everyone mentioned above has more power and influence than I. Plus, he has an entire army of hyper loyal foot soldiers he can turn on us with the blink of an eye.

I am not a fighter. I am not brave or bold. I cant make myself person that in a week. I feel like Upham in Saving Private Ryan...sitting there powerless on the steps.

I am so afraid. I don't want to be shipped to a foreign concentration camp. I don't want to be killed by a right Qing death squad.. I don't know what to do.

Dan Savage from the 'Savage Love' podcast was an activist back in the 1980s when the AIDS crisis was at its peak.

He said that he'd be at the hospices in the mornings helping the dying, then at political meetings in the afternoons to get support, then go out dancing at night. The dancing was so he'd have a reason to go on the next day.

They want you scared. That's why they need so many symbols and so many rallies.

Dance, and then organize, then dance some more.

Come protest with us this weekend mate. It will really help you to see that you're not alone here and it'll really help you to understand that people are against this.

People are fighting in any way we can. Businesses and a lot of MAGA are starting to turn against him. Even his "allies" and supporters are beginning to question his decisions. This won't last mate.

Since this is supposed to be the weekend he declares martial law, I'm really worried about what might happen at the protests.

Still planning to go, but very worried.

Don’t spread rumors and don’t be afraid, but especially don’t give in to their bullying.

We are going to have to start coming up with a plan. We need to either start fighting back or planning on escaping.

Fighting back will require lethal force and will certainly come with consequences.

Escaping will be extremely difficult as there are a majority of us that have limited resources to start a new life in other countries that have not yet established a system for us to seek asylum.

Unfortunately lives will have to be lost for that to change and tensions will ratchet up. We can protest but do it armed, we can continue to call out our representatives, and get our affairs in order.

Whatever happens do not let them kidnap you without a fight. Nobody should be giving in to going to concentration camps. We have seen what happens when we do. It results in death without a chance to take one of them out.

Cool. Easy fix. Get organized with people like you in your neighborhood, and come up with communication so you can all pour out of your homes and handle ICE if they show up.

Your strength will be with those who can watch your back.

Well time to find some bravery.

Courage is not the state of not being afraid. Courage is being afraid, and doing it anyway.

We know that. The poster is saying OP should find just that. No idea how one develops courage, but it certainly helps to be scared shitless in various situations and find that you're not as helpless as imagined.

You need the following:

  • Emergency food plans.
  • Emergency water plans.
  • Emergency first aid supplies and training.
  • A local community/network that can aid each other in a time of crisis that has secure communication channels.
  • If you can afford it and want the security blanket feeling, you should acquire a concealable firearm, receive training, acquire a Conceal Carry License, and possibly invest in a 13 gauge shotgun for home defense, an AR for mobilization and hunting, more training, ammunition reserves, and bullet proof vests for your household. (This level of prep is mostly for peace of mind for the l last likely but worst case scenario and is much less essential for most people.)
