To keep it short and simple, it was more organic back then. Today, it's more of a "designer" experience. You can still have a hell of a lot of fun, but it just feels less natural.

This is a terrible take. Sure. There are issues with the system, but these laws protect smaller musicians and inventors from having their ideas stolen and profited upon by larger players.

Without patent laws, there's no reason to ever "buyout" a design from an inventor, or for smaller songwriters to ever get paid again. A large company or musician could essentially steal your work and make money off of it, and you would get nothing for all of the time and effort that you put into it.

It's worth noting that Burning Man from 15 years ago is not the same Burning Man today and it's tragic.

On one hand, I enjoy the schadenfreude of companies getting their just reward for enabling this bullshit, but in the other, I really mourn for all of those that are going to suffer from this. Our country is actively shooting itself in the foot, and blaming it on DEI.

Because we all know STEM fields aren't already white-male dominated. Making it more hostile for women and minorities will reduce the amount of people that even want to get into the field, thus reducing actual talent. Studies also show that diverse groups tend to problem-solve better than homogeneous ones as they tend to consider a wider array of possibilities and avoid groupthink.

Fuck this frail white-ego bullshit.

It's almost as if he doesn't care about the economy and would rather buddy up to his perceived allies, the Saudis.

There was a shocking number of Section 8 people that voted for Trump based on the idea that he gave them money before, he'll do it again. More than anything any other President has done for them.

Yeah, people tend to vote on rather shallow feelings rather than actual facts. This will cause some of these people to have very unhappy feelings about voting Republican in the future.

I had to do this with my childhood best friend...it sucks. Sorry dude.

You'll be happier in the long run. I found I was hanging out with them for nostalgia's sake, and I was exhausted with constantly having to "debate" them on issues.

Learning how to engage and socialize with people of both sexes is a necessary skill. As long as your not being a toxic mess in front of them, you're fine.

I'm like 95% sure that's the plan.

I had no idea. I'll have to look into that. Thanks!

Wanted to ask about this. I do not work in California, however many of our vendors and customers are seeking to swap to MIL-PRF-8625 Type II, when they historically used Type I.

I'm totally on board with this - anything I can do to push safer, less environmentally destructive processes is a win in my book. But I understand that not all companies are interested in jumping ship so fast.

So I wanted to ask, what's your companies take on it? Did you know about the industry phase out?

The US Space Force is tracking 20 pieces of debris from the Intelsat 33e.

I've been dealing with this for months. I've received yet another drawing from a company calling "Diameters on a common axis/center to be 0.XX" TIR U.O.I. "

Total Runout requires a Datum. Your "common axis" is not a datum and can not referenced. It's driving me mad. Like, where did everyone get this notion that it's acceptable? It'd be one thing if it was just one or two drawings, but I'm into the dozens at this point. It's getting to the point that I'm starting to question if I'm either the one in the wrong or everyone has some sort of mass psychosis.

Am I in the wrong here?

Scientists and engineers have successfully tested a high-powered laser weapon mounted on a British Army combat vehicle.
