One word: plastics.

Four years later, microplastics were being used by caddisflies.

Turns out that microplastics in human bodies may not be as bad as feared. The most recent article I read concerning this is that early findings are that normal/average amounts of cardiovascular exercise (ex. walking) per week will rid the body of microplastics through sweating.

Don't get me wrong here. That may be good news, for now, for us humans. However, there is still a lot of research that needs to be done. Not only for its effects on humans, but all the other environmental issues as well.
