Shrug Some people like it one way, some people like it the other way. A slower release format lets you marinate on an episode and generates more discussion. When an entire season drops at a time individual episodes tend to just blur together. I don't think your assertion that nobody likes the weekly format is accurate at all.

MODERATORS
Weekly people can watch them once a week. The rest must watch them once a week, build a buffer, or just wait for the season, while avoiding spoilers for the latter two.
The issue with avoiding spoilers is exactly the same if you don't watch it right away when an entire season drops. And it kills the discussion of individual episodes among the community if some people are just binge watching and others aren't. I don't personally feel strongly about either release format, but I definitely think there's not a clearcut answer to which is better.

This is much worse for weekly people trying to pace themselves on a binge-dumped show.
Personally, I think it absolutely depends on the show itself and how the creators want it viewed. Some do well with a week to ruminate and build excitement. Some do better as just this "thing" you need to see as quickly as possible. I think there's room for both.

I prefer weekly releases. If you like to binge, wait until the season had finished and enjoy yourself.

It gives the community time to grow and develop fun theories. It’s easier to ask someone to catch up on a show than telling them to binge 12 episodes so you can both say, “that was a good show”. I’d love to see metrics on subreddits from shows that released the whole season vs weekly.
What community? Do you identify that strongly with some bunch of strangers on the internet or do you mean your friend circle?

Lol I wrote Subreddits because they showcase the benefit of weekly releases. Content like Breaking Bad, Sopranos, Better Call Saul, all built large communities thanks partly to their slow trickle of content. What binge content release did you like the most?
All content is binge content here because I wait until there is no longer the waiting game
Weekly releases are better, specially because most shows nowadays are fast-paced
I need first episode to get a feel of the show I couldn't even watch less than two at a time. First one is a warm up. Now then once i am sucked in I won't stop until i feel the hunger pangs
This is what is fun for me
I prefer full seasons releases, but weekly can be OK is some cases.
Also depends how much I like the show. I generally only tolerate weekly if I am big fan, otherwise I just wait till the full season is released.
