I am American and I would be happy for Canada to burn the fucking White House. I am sick of this fucking bullshit.
Fuck The USA
Haven’t even hit French levels of protesting, why do Canadians have to come in and fix things?
That's honestly something that has been pissing me off. As Americans we need to stop just assuming someone will come and save us after we've literally pissed everyone else off. We did this to ourselves and we need to deal with ourselves. If we don't show the effort to actually do something about it ourselves we really have no right to ask for help.
Grocery store shelves are already getting bare. A lot of brands are no longer on shelves. Once an American is inconvenienced, then they care. It has to affect them personally and then comes the tantrum, recorded on TikToc.
He's refrencing the war of 1812 when Canada retaliated against the US stealing their land by burning down the White House.

Twice. We burnt it to the ground twice.
Yeah, but what have you done for us lately?
Called you out on your fascy bullshit?
Yes I know, why is it our problem to go and fix their shit when they’ve barely put any effort in? Technically Canada didn’t exist as a country yet anyways and it was the UK.
He's making a joke because humor is a coping mechanism
That’s one way to honor tradition.
...again...
Just FYI, the National Post is a member of the Post Media group of American propaganda outlets.
Weird propaganda flex for them.
"Dear America, Canada thinks you're an unstable and dangerous country and want nothing to do with you since installing your fat, bloated, idiot, orange king."
Makes sense to me, if the goal is to sow division. America is really trying to paint itself as incompatible with Canada, for some reason.
It’s the same for the majority of Americans.
I was already not going to the US anyway. At least not by plane. I've seen and heard enough about TSA to know it's not a place where I want to go. Ever since 9/11, their paranoia and security theatres are too much for me. I even avoid flights that have connections in the US.
I considered going to Vermont on my bike to try rail trails and loop back in Canada, but even then, the prospect of going through US customs is enough to prevent me doing it.
Plus, I'm part of minorities, defend them, and know that I would have to be careful about what I say in some states. And I also don't feel safe around people carrying guns everywhere.
Trump just pushed everything to the extreme. Crossing the border was already a possible shitty experience, now the chances of being treated like a criminal without any rights are even higher. No point in trying.
We're not too bad here in California, besides the security theatre in airports.
But yeah, I don't blame you.
They are unwelcome and unsafe.
I would be personally delighted to see them but fearful for their safety.
I suspect that everybody is currently unsafe in the US.
I have family in the states that I won't be visiting for the foreseeable future
I'm a Asian American and I feel pretty damn unsafe in America.
A large number of Americans feel the same way
The feeling is correct
