Exactly this. If a business can't survive without relying on wage slavery, then it's not a viable business.

$30 an hour is what, about $60K a year? That's still poverty wages in Socal.

If you're full-time yeah...they love to jack the pay, but then give you like 3 hours but demand you must be available 24/7 whenever they call

Very fair point. I've never worked in the hospitality industry, so it never occurred to me that these positions are likely majority part-time.
