My problem is that I suck at bullshitting so if that job ever ended and I got laid off I'd be going to interviews and people would be asking what I did in my last job, and I'd just sit there with my brain encouraging me to say "well I was a very active commenter on a small online forum for leftists."
The best part of this is being forced to go to an office to do nothing as a programmer, possibly the most work from home compatible job on the planet. This person could be exercising and socializing and going on vacations but is insteas forced to sit at a desk for no reason other than protocol and corporate control.
They'll get the axe in a few months when the company decides AI can do the jobs of 100 programmers with just 1 person overseeing its slop.
