That's only surprising if you're a clueless hack writing for a right wing propaganda rag. Those guys actually have a great concept and if they bring it to fruition, it's bound to do well.

It's a product with a lot of potential, the only thing I dislike about it is that it's been funded by Bezos.
I pre-ordered one. Which was tough for me as a gamer who won't preorder. However it was only $50, which is cheaper than preordering most video games.
The way I see it, if they manage to make it, cool, I get to buy a nice truck like I've always wanted that isn't the size of my college apartment.
If they don't make it, I'm out $50.
