I kind of wish I knew if there's a specific term for this sort of "futuristic car console UI". Shows up in the 1980s, uses VFDs in large blocks of single colors, which dictate a lot of what the console looks like. I like the style, but I'm not aware of anything more specific than "cassette futurism" to describe it.
It's a type of retro futurism, similar to Back to the Future, or a more recent example in media would be Maniac. Retrofuturism though has a pretty large umbrella where it can go into art deco futurism which would be your BioShocks too.
