bunnies
Post bunny pics, post questions about rabbits, almost anything rabbit or hare-related goes (whether wild or domestic).
- "Almost" because this is a community for bunny enjoyers—no images of dead or injured rabbits, please.
- This is a community for the animal! Posts of humans with rabbit features (think "bunny girls", people with a cottontail and bunny ears) are not what this community is for and will be removed.
- Also, no AI-generated content please.
Other than that, rules should be pretty obvious: be nice, no bigotry/discrimination, stay on topic, etc.
Not officially affiliated with any rabbit subreddits.
House Rabbit Society is overall a fantastic resource on pet rabbits: info on diets, health, vet care, adopting bunnies, and behavior.

- !voidbunnies@lemmy.world (currently inactive)
- !dailybunnies@lemmings.world
As of now, if you follow all 4 bunny communities (the above 3 plus this one), you will see little to no post overlap/crossposting, so you can safely follow all 4 without getting your feed spammed with several copies of the same bunny.
She’s terrified, rabbits are not toys :(
Genuinely, what should I be looking for? I don't want to promote mistreatment of rabbits but the truth is, I don't own any and don't plan to. I'm just a random Lemmy moderator who picked this community up because I think rabbits are cute enough to post and check here semi-regularly, the other moderator was totally inactive, and an active person to remove spam > nobody. So I don't have the knowledge necessary for what to look out for, and that was actually a big reason I spent awhile not stepping up to mod: because I figured I'd run afoul of this very problem at some time: accidentally posting rabbit harm. I did know she was scared for part of the video since the subtitle actively said she was scared of the last obstacle as it was too close to the screen (around 0:29), but figured since she conquered her fear and I didn't see any obvious attempt to intentionally hurt her, it was okay.
I am very happy to abdicate power to someone who knows more about rabbits. I'm just here to make sure spammers get banned, and luckily we have not had any, probably because the community is active.
