I'll still use it knce wintermute comes back from his North Korean prison term (no idea what actually happened to him).
North Korea is the most probable theory. He travelled from Germany to some place in East Asia, Japan or something, to work at that place and kinda also have holidays. They must have catched him on his journey back. feddit.de was to dangerous for them. Also there has been leaked some prison webcam footage lately.

Why do people say threadiverse?
Easy way to refer to the subset of fediverse platforms with threaded/nested comments, currently Lemmy/Mbin/PieFed, maybe SubLinks at some point.
mastodon.social is the micro-blogging hashtag thing. And you highlight the different comment-thread and community based approach of lemmy with this terminology.
