Have you tried Turnip drivers? I'm not sure what one you should use, you'd have to research it, but I know it's a significant performance uplift for snapdragon/switch emulation.

Just got the turnip drivers installed and will try out tonight!
I will look into that! Thanks!
I just added DK Tropical Freeze to my collection and it works great! No freezes, just some background texture pop on occasion, but im getting a solid 60ish fps on it with Ryujinx
Two more questions for those familiar:
For android games, is there a reputable source for piracy/cracked versions or whatever?
for games that were released on multiple gen 6 consoles, are there any general rules of thumb for which edition might be preferable? Obviously there might be a user preference for one control scheme over another, but is one or another console generally characterized by better lighting, textures, sound quality, etc? Or are these sorts of comparisons just too variable from one multiplatform release to the next to derive general rules in that manner
What was gen 6 again?
ps2/gamecube/dreamcast
Yeah it really depends on the game
How big are switch roms, and where to source?
I've been expanding my roms library in advance of my rp5 arriving, went thru Dreamcast, GameCube, and PSP on Vimms but I've run out of local storage space before I even got to PS2
Depends on the game. Some are 2 or 3gb, some are up to 15 (thats the highest ive seen). Youre gonna love the retroid, it's handled anything ive thrown at it super well, and what it can't handle is more because "this game can't be emulated well at all" rather than "u need more ram or whatever."
Yuzu with the Turnip drivers seems to have eliminated my SMW Crashes, just got through 3 levels in a sitting with no issues. Downloading that new Prince of Persia game now cause that shit looked dope when it came out and i haven't gotten to it on pc yet.
Romsfun.me and NSWPedia have been my go-tos, but theres a lot of sites out there. Honestly just googling switch roms has been good enough for me so far. Most sites look like they have all dlc and latest game updates too so its pretty rad. Good scene.
Have you converted all Dreamcast and PSP roms to chd files? That should be decent storage savings. GC roms should also be rvzs to save more space.
Feel free to ask if you don't know how
Yea I know how, got my ps1 collection as chds on my current handheld.
Didn't know dreamcast and psp emus handled chds too though, thanks for the tip
