I've been looking into living in a commune. Everything about it seems so fitting to me as a person, except for my Aspergers. Curiosity's still at an all-time high.

I did some research into commune and monastery life a while ago, still very appealing for me. Honestly monasteries were WHERE people used to send their autistic kids to live, well if you were rich or connected enough
Interesting, I didn't know about that.
Unfortunately my gf is very much opposed to the thought of living in a commune and my last attempt to shift her perspective on the topic led to both of us crying.
My contract with my current company lapses this shift, I have heard nothing back from my consulting company, or the job site I am at despite dozens of calls and emails over the last week.
Last Monday they let go my entire department of eight people except for one guy they asked explicitly to stay on (he said no).
Yet my login still works, when theirs was terminated immediately.
So I'm not sure if they renewed my contract and didn't tell me or aren't and just forgot to lock my account.
In any case I'm going to milk it for every hour they'll let me stay clocked in until someone tells me otherwise or my login fails
Ugh that is some horrible anxiety. Hopefully you will find something more stable after this.
Appreciate it, this is a kind of liminality I am not a fan of
