Hi,

I noticed that I can see communities from instances I am not subscribed to on those instances, but am subscribed to on my lemmy.world instances.

For example, I am subbed to !selfhosted@lemmy.world but I also see post to !selfhosted@domain.xyz

I like this feature. Is there a way to get that to work on the web too?

Do you see all posts from the community you are not subscribed? Or do you just see "hot" posts?

The latter one is just an effect of the federation.

That's a bug, if the user is from domain.xyz, and create a post on selfhosted@lemmy.world, the community name shows the domain from the use instead of community instance.

Dang, I kinda liked that to be a feature. It'd be nice to see all !selfhosted post across all instances to avoid every server creating their own secluded community. Maybe one day
