She did... And it's August 25th when the body shop can take the car in. Fortunately it's only visual damage, it still runs perfectly fine so I'm driving it!

A good mechanic is a precious thing, but I feel like a good body shop is worth its weight in gold. Which is a lot of worth since it usually involves a large building
Very true! And so many do shit work knowing it's unlikely you'd be repeat business anyway. Most people just go to where insurance sends em which is often the ever shitty Caliber Collisions.
Yeah, I can definitely see how that would do a lot less to incentivize actual care being put into the work they do
