Also if you don't like "nut" give me a thesaurus of acceptable euphemisms for folks who are less-constrained by social norms against violence. Until then I'm going to rely on folks using context clues to understand. Fuck, everyone in my family has some kind of atypical mental shit going on from depression to autism to bipolar and anxiety disorder. If gay people get a pass for the f-word and black folks get a pass on the n-word, I'm invoking my fucking pass for "nut".

My primary issue is calling people "nuts" for acting in self defense. But whatever get all defensive and double down and invoke other slurs in your defense. Cool.

They sought out those people and shot at them. That's not self-defense. But you're right there is a lot more nuance to the situation than I explored in a two sentence 5000 foot view hot take. Equivocating wasn't my intent nor was painting trans folks as nuts and I see how it came across that way. I expected the heel on the throat to broadly cover that. I'm going to leave it at that.

It absolutely is. When the Viet Cong sought out and shot American occupiers, it was self defense. When French and Italian partisans crept up on the SS and riddled their cars with bullets, that was self defense. When an antifascist in America shoots at fascists, it is always self defense, because the fascists are a threat to everyone.
